Even though we are at the end of May, I am still wearing a sweatshirt and shivering every time I take the dog out. STICK A FORK IN ME! VACATION by Vacation Eau de Toilette

✨You know that smell that your sunscreen had in the 90’s? 🏖️This is that smell. In a bottle. That you can spray all over yourself.

The first time I sprayed it on myself I was at Ulta just messing around. I sprayed it, and was like “Eew. This smells like sunscreen.” Then as I wandered around the store, I kept being drawn to the smell. The fact that I couldn’t keep my nose off my arm was probably a little weird, but before I left the store, I had put the perfume in my shopping bag. 🛍️

It’s literally one of my FAVORITES, but it’s very specific. I don’t just wear it randomly out to dinner with my husband or anything like that…I save it for when I’m going somewhere summery. Like the lake, or the beach, or just to the grocery store on a hot, sweaty day. It’s perfect for that, trust me.

A Palm Hat from Sunshine Tienda

✨Ok, these hats are freaking cute. I just got one, and I’m obsessed. 🩷 They’re from a cute little boutique called ☀️Sunshine Tienda that sells cute jewelry, hats, and other vacationy stuff! The hats and hat bands are handmade by women in Guatemala, and purchasing a hat helps them support their families. I LOVE a hat that gives back!

You can purchase them in the CORRECT SIZE for your head. I have a big head (and big hair). Normal little hats don’t fit me, so it was amazing to purchase a hat that actually fits my head. Classier than a ball cap, and summerier (I just made that word up) than a felt hat. I am INTO it. I am already trying to decide which one to buy next. Eek..is it possible to have a hat addiction? I think it might be. 😉

Land’s End Sculpting Swimsuit

✨I would say that I usually feel like Land’s End is a brand my mom wears. But hey, I’m 40 now, so what the heck! If we’re gonna go down, we might as well go down burning. I saw this swimsuit in their catalog and I was like, “wait..that’s adorable.🤯” Sorry, Land’s End. Even the title on the website “Women’s Sculpting Suit Chlorine Resistant Targeted Control Draped One Piece Swimsuit” is something an old lady would say. WHOA, it’s a mouthful. It just needs to say “Hecka Sexy Sculpting Suit” because IT IS.🔥

It makes the girls look amazing. 👀 And it holds all my stuff in. I am not a skinny woman, I have curves, ya know? I also have a long torso and I did order the tall…well first, I ordered the regular and it was giving fwedgie – if you know what I mean. So I exchanged it for a tall. And it is chef’s kiss. A little hard to put on, like shapewear – when you wonder if it’s going to be too small except it magically fits! Once you shimmy it up, it keeps everything all sucked in and smooth looking. I haven’t actually worn it in the water yet. And I haven’t tried to pull it back up after it’s wet (I think that might be a problem🫠), but overall, I give it a 10/10.

Aveda Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme

✨Everyone needs a great hand creme in beach bag. Well, let’s be honest, everyone needs a great hand creme in their nightstand, bathroom, kitchen, purse, and beach bag. This hand creme smells divine – light and herby. Not overpowering. It isn’t greasy, it’s just wonderful and it works. 🥶Especially in the winter, when my hands tend to crack from the cold weather.🖐️ I could wax eloquent about this hand creme, but I will spare you and just say, you won’t be sorry if you snag yourself a tube.

Funny Story by Emily Henry

✨Last in the roundup, but definitely not least, everyone needs a great beach read to tuck into their beach bag or carry on. Funny Story by Emily Henry can fill that void. If you haven’t read any of Emily Henry’s books, you for sure should. I have read them all and they are all ✨AMAZING.✨ Well, they are not earth shattering or educational or anything. You can pick them up and put them down – kind of. I did ignore my family a little bit for a day while I read this one, but they aren’t your typical intense page turner. More like a 🌶️spicy Hallmark movie with witty banter. I truly just adore all of her books and this one was no different.

E.L.F. Suntouchable Whoa Glow SPF and Makeup Primer

✨I happened to see this while I was browsing through Walmart one day. It was inexpensive, had some shimmer, and was both sunscreen and primer! So I bought it! And the verdict: I kind of love it! I feel like it’s all I need on my face some days. It isn’t greasy, it doesn’t sting my eyes like sunscreen can, and hasn’t made me break out. I bought an extra tube for my beach bag so that I have it with me for extra applications during the day when I’m on the water.
